Heidi

Heidi is a charming young lady looking for a forever family. She is quite large at 33.2 Kgs – our best guess is that she is a Shepherd / Leonberger cross.

This beautiful girl has had quite the unstable life. She was found abandoned and has been rather shy since arriving at the pound. Heidi is finally beginning to show us her lovely personality. Though she can be a little “hidey” at first, she quickly warms up with encouragement.

Heidi is gentle, kind, and patient. She enjoys head scratches, being brushed, and getting big snuggles. She is only just discovering how fun toys can be!

She has really enjoyed the company of other dogs in the pound. They have helped her navigate new people and situations with less anxiety and more confidence. Heidi will need a home with another dog as she struggles when one is not around.

We have not seen her with cats or other animals, but she would most likely adjust well due to her gentle nature. She has done well with calm/dog savvy kids. However, small children might be a little too scary for her.

Heidi has just been spayed, has her first vaccines (including rabies) and she is microchipped. Heidi’s adoption fee is $675.00.
