Jasper - Special Needs -
Jasper has been at the pound since February of this year. Jasper has a huge personality in his little cat body. We truly appreciate his unique qualities and he has us all trained. He is a bossy seat stealer and a demanding snuggler when he decides it is time and he really likes an ear massage. Jasper is lovely when he gets what he wants, which is mostly just to hang out near someone and canned cat food. He has struggled with having to be alone overnight here which is most likely what has caused some inappropriate urination but it may be an ongoing issue even in a home. Jasper does very well with routine. He is calmer and sweet when we are on schedule and on the quieter days.
Jasper prefers to be away from the other cats here as he is not big on sharing. He has been comfortable out with quiet small dogs in our office space, which has become his office.
Jasper has diabetes and needs insulin injections twice a day. Jasper is very cooperative and the needle is tiny so it is very easy to give. His other bloodwork results were good in February and we are optimistic with proper diabetes management he still has plenty of life to live and love to give. However, Jasper is a senior cat. Jasper is also missing most of his teeth.
We are looking for an indoor only home. Jasper is a no charge adoption due to his special needs status.
