Mayan

Mayan is absolutely beautiful but so far is better admired from a distance. We have had Mayan since mid November; during that time she has slowly become more confident and gaining trust in her human caregivers. Mayan is extremely sweet when she greets people with big lovely blinks. She also likes to smell their hands, then make a eww gross face. Mayan still dislikes being pet but she is ok with being picked up and carried now. Mayan no longer spends much time hiding. She likes to be around people and watching everything that is going on. She is not even afraid of the vacuum. It seems she feels very safe on the cat posts and will spend most of her day on the one closest to people.

She may be different in a home environment, but she will need her space and will take a long time to settle in. With a gentle and patient approach she should come around.

Mayan does not particularly like other cats, but she is respectful of their space and avoids conflict however she can.  She does not seem to be intimidated by dogs, so a cat-savvy dog would probably receive the same treatment.

We are looking for an indoor only home.

Mayan is about 5-8 years old, litter box trained, spayed, microchipped, dewormed, has her first vaccines and has been treated for fleas. Mayan’s adoption fee is $350.00.
