Rugby - Adopted!

Breed: Domestic Long Hair

Colour: Brown Tabby with White

Age: 10-14 months

Sex: Neutered by VACS

Rugby has been with VACS since November when he was trapped with some feral cats. Since then we have been working on his socialization and he has transformed into a very curious and loving little guy. He still has lots more to learn and should be considered a "project" cat at first. Building his trust will be very important and his new family will likely have to put in several weeks of patience and calm consistency before they are able to pet him. Eventually he will be a wonderful family pet but he may never be the super confident guy who greets visitors at the door.

He is very affectionate with those who he knows and has a big purr. Being pet is still new to him so he's awkward at times, but for the most part he just loves it. He is learning what it feels like to be scratched behind the ears and under the chin. He hisses when frightened by loud people or sudden movements but has never bit or swatted. He is also very food motivated which really helps in the trust building department.

During Rugby's first few months of life he knew only cats and he would do very well in a home with another calm and friendly cat he could play with.

Rugby will need a strictly indoor home without small children and where life is fairly calm and quiet.

If you are interested in Rugby please come and visit him in his very own penthouse suite at the pound, or give us a call if you have any questions.
