Poor miss Whisper has been through quite a lot. She first came in with a massive eye infection in both eyes. We treated that and as it cleared we saw she had inverted eyelids. Who knows how long her eyelashes had been rubbing against her eyes causing awful discomfort and the infection! She has now had surgery to fix those lids (and had a couple of teeth pulled) and has recovered very well.
Through all of her medical treatment Whisper has been nothing but sweet and patient. She is a loving, gentle cat. She will prefer a quieter home as she tends to hide when there is a lot of activity going on around her. She is affectionate and likes to be cuddled. Once she trusts you, she will put her front paws up on you to ask to be picked up. She is a bit of a drooler as well!
UPDATE: It's probably the first time in her life that Whisper is comfortable and can see properly. She is really coming out of her shell and starting to enjoy life. Each week her coat grows a little softer, the bald patches are growing in, and we are starting to see who she really is! She has been playing a bit and is always seeking attention, although she is still a fairly quiet girl overall. She now seems years younger than when we first met her. Whisper is a total gem and will be a wonderful addition to someones family!
