This charming girl was brought to VACS after she was abandoned by her previous owners. Katie is very sweet but shy and needs someone who is willing to put in time and be patient with her. She spends most of her time hiding in a ball; however, when you start to pet her she begins purring right away and looks at you with her big wide eyes for more pets.
Katie came to us with a fairly bad case of flea allergy dermatitis (essentially an allergic reaction to fleas) but is now recovering nicely! She is missing a patch of fur where she was shaved but it is already starting to grow back. Because of this reaction, her new home with need to be diligent with flea treatment.
Katie has been checked over by a veterinarian, and besides her allergic reaction is in great health. She is an adult cat who would do best in a quiet household. She has not been tested with other cats, children or dogs.
