If you see a swarm of bees that can be physically reached please do the following.

DO NOT DISTURB THE BEES

CALL the bee swarm hotline at (250) 900-5787. They will arrange a response by professional beekeepers to catch the bees.

OBSERVE the swarm and monitor the situation until the beekeepers arrive. If necessary, tell others to stay away. Warn passersby to prevent bee stings and possible allergic reactions.

- The swarm in the above photo occurred on Haultain St. (summer 2011). Beekeepers calmed the bees with fine spray mists of water and then used brushes to sweep the bees into a secure container.
