Buffy

Breed: Domestic Short Hair

Colour: Brown Tabby with White

Age: 10 - 11 years

Sex: Spayed Female

On the day we met Buffy we had received a call that there was a sick or injured cat who appeared to be in critical condition. The caller told us he had seen her have a seizure and she was lying on a nearby driveway. We attended, and things did not look good, Buffy was indeed in critical condition. She was rushed to vet where she got some IV fluids and a valium injection. Her condition improved and the vet's diagnosis was that she had ingested a toxin - maybe some antifreeze or rat poisin. She was kept under close watch and after four days of rapid improvement was transferred back to the Pound.

During this time, we were unable to locate an owner, so now Buffy is ready for adoption into a new indoor only home.

Update: Buffy has now been waiting for a home for 3.5 months and has made herself the Queen Bee in the office. She is always calm and does not fight, but with a little growl she makes all the other cats aware that she is the boss, and they give her a wide berth. She is a very friendly cat who loves to sit on my lap and just needs a stress-free home to relax in.
