Cody is a young, super intelligent and affectionate guy who is looking for a special cat loving family. Cody is highly sensitive and has had some negative experiences so far in life. Once Cody gets to know you and is comfortable in his surroundings, he is a very loving non-stop purring machine, but he will require an extended adjustment period and some extra kindness and understanding.
Cody needs a home without children or other cats, as both are very frightening for him. When he is frightened he is a little dramatic and defensive. His new family should be familiar with cat behaviour, patient, and not afraid to be hissed at or swatted during his initial adjustment period. He will not be comfortable being pet until he has learned that you are safe, and this may take several weeks.
In the meantime though, he doesn't hide and will purr and rub along your legs. Cody is also a curious and energetic guy and burning his playful energy with activities like laser pointer will really help him progress. He loves to play! Toys and games will keep this guy happy. He also loves watching the birds through the window.
Cody will be a fantastic cat for someone who doesn't mind a project that will be extremely rewarding.
