We have only known Dave for a short while. We are unsure of his past, but much like his name sake, he is ready to retire from the fighting world. When he arrived he was recovering from a cat fight, and has most likely lived outside for periods of his life.
Dave is very good communicator. He will let you know when he wants to be pet, brushed, or left alone. He enjoys attention and snuggles for short bursts on his own terms. After that, he prefers to watch from a distance until he is ready to be social again.
Dave isn't mean but he is bossy! He uses his paws to stop you from leaving or to say you are petting him in the wrong spot or at the wrong time. He will teach you to do things the way he likes them. If you appreciate a big personality with some sass, Dave is the cat for you!
Catnip is his favorite thing in the world - even more than treats!
We have not seen him interact with children, dogs, or other cats.
We are looking for an indoor only home.
Dave is about 2-5 years old, litter box trained, neutered, microchipped, dewormed, has his first vaccines and has been treated for fleas. Dave’s adoption fee is $350.00.
