Dawson is a very handsome boy with a gorgeous, shiny black coat. We suspect he has been an indoor only cat his whole life, so the process of coming to the pound was quite frightening for him. He is started a shy cat, but has come a long way. It took a couple of weeks of hiding in his kennel before he decided it was boring and he should explore.
He is very vocal, and we suspect he is part Siamese because of his personality and his bone structure. He has been getting along well with the other cats.
Dawson is very smart and likes to stick by us. He is always interested in what we are doing. Dawson is very helpful and he enjoys checking out every drawer you open and waits for you at the door if you leave the room. If you adopt Dawson he will happily supervise all of your chores.
Dawson has been having difficulty with meeting new people. He will need time to build trust with a person before he decides it is ok to be affectionate and enjoy being pet.
He prefers the company of people but will play with other cats.
