Em has a lot of great qualities - she is clean, quiet, healthy, and very pretty. She's super smart and playful.
She has been at the pound for six months waiting for someone to take a chance on her, but no one chooses her because she doesn't like to be pet, cuddled or picked up - unless your'e really lucky and it's the right moment or, of course if you invest a lot of time to earn her trust. We suspect something pretty bad has happened to her in the past for her to be so distrustful of physical contact, but we have seen her come a long way since we met her and we know she has tons of potential.
She likes to be around people and will hang out in the office with us. She will cuddle up with one of the staff and is showing more trust with others everyday.
She may never be the friendly cat that wins over adopters in the short time they have to get to know her so she may never get adopted. If you are looking to rescue a cat and are willing to give her time and patience, she will be a great cat before long in the right home.
