Emerald is a very unique cat. He might look like an ordinary short hair black cat but he is just a little different. He has a few extra toes and a super cute curly tail!
Unlike most cats at the pound we know Emerald's story of how he came to live here in search of a new family.
Emerald lived with one person who loved him very much. Sadly he lost his family when they unexpectedly passed away. Emerald is 14 years old and is no longer a young cat. His age makes it difficult for him to find a new home not to mention how hard it must be for him to adjust to living here now.
Emerald is low key and sweet and lived a quiet life in an apartment and will do great in a similar situation. He is very affectionate and so far ignores other cats. He is neutered and litter box trained.
UPDATE: Now that Emerald has been with us a little while we have discovered that he is super playful! Toss a toy into his kennel and he will pounce and chase it around... if there are no toys around, he will use anything he can find to chase and catch instead!
