Maple definitely does not fit in with the tortoiseshell reputation of being temperamental. She is calm, gentle, and even tempered - no "tortitude" whatsoever!
Since there a lot of cats in the adoption room right now, it's easy for a polite cat like Maple to get bullied, so she doesn't venture too far away from her kennel. Instead she waits for people to come to her, and then soaks up all the attention she can get.
In her ideal home, Maple will get lots of human affection, and she wouldn't mind sharing it with another cat, as long as he or she is friendly and gentle like Maple is.
