The first five minutes of anything is the most exciting thing for Parker. After the initial excitement is over, he calms down and becomes the most affectionate and loving boy. He is a fun loving, rambunctious, and sweet young man looking for his forever family. He always has a smile on his face and loves to give plenty of kisses. Parker does not understand his size (about 60lbs) and will literally climb into your arms so he can be held like a baby. He has excellent leash manners once his celebration is over, he gets out the door and has a chance to settle in.
Parker would benefit greatly from obedience classes. He is a people pleaser and very smart. Parker is a little excitable puppy in an adult dog body. He needs a home that will not mind being crashed into and jumped on when he attempts to get you to join in on his super fun puppy party! At least until he learns how to play nicely with people now that he has grown. That said he does tire himself out fairly quickly and likes to roll over for tummy rubs.
Parker is not recommended to a home with small children due to his rambunctiousness. We have not seen him meet another dog but he isn’t reactive to them while out on walks. Typically he watches them and smiles. We have not seen him with cats. Parker has presented with some skin issues while at the pound, however, this does appear to be improving with medications and regular baths. He may require further treatment and hypoallergenic food in the future.
Parker is a little over 1 year old, neutered, microchipped, has his first vaccines and has been treated for fleas. Parker’s adoption fee is $ 500.00.
