Sunny

9 MONTHS.

That’s how long Sunny has been here with us at VACS. In that time he has changed from a scared, hissy, swatting boy to a charming and opinionated staff favourite. You can tell just from looking at Sunny that he has had a rough start to life. He is missing half an ear and his head is covered in scars. He walks with a limp, probably from being attacked by a dog or hit by a car. All Sunny wants is to find his forever family in time for the holidays..

Sunny came to us with broken canine teeth that were removed with the help of GVAC. He has a bit of an oral fixation and gives a lot of nibbles - but really they are just love bites! They do not hurt as his remaining teeth are not very sharp. Nibbling is something that Sunny will probably always do, but we think it makes him extra special.

Sunny is a very sweet boy and loves the ladies (both human and feline). He tries his best to get along with every cat that comes into VACS, but life on the streets has made him wary of other dominant males. He is not a fan of dogs at all, but would probably be good with older cat savvy children.

This ruggedly handsome boy loves his food and routine. Every morning he greets his favourite people with his croaky, squeaky meows and follows them around until he is fed. Once he has eaten his breakfast he likes to spend the day demanding attention, cuddling his people and “sitting pretty” in the hopes of getting treats.

Sunny is looking for a home with patient people who will love him for who he is and appreciate his hilarious and unique personality. He does have a mild heart murmur and needs to watch what he eats as he has a sensitive stomach. He walks with a limp and will require annual veterinary exams to monitor his heart and health and make sure he stays happy. Sunny has been estimated by a veterinarian to be approximately 5 years old.

If you think that Sunny is the perfectly imperfect cat for you and want to adopt him, come in and meet him!
