Taz might just be the most friendly, affectionate, and happy little dog you'll ever meet. He is just as fun as he looks! He loves absolutely everyone and is super excited to meet people (even if they are a block away on the other side of the street!).
Not only will this guy need a home with a yard he can run around in, but he will also need a family willing to take him to obedience classes. Taz does respond to "sit" and "down" but he can be pretty bananas when there's lots going on and a group class will go a long way to teaching him to calm down and focus. Taz likes other dogs and is not aggressive but his energy can make other dogs uncomfortable so he does need to learn some manners in that department. Cats are an unknown.
Taz has very little experience walking on a leash. Due to his small size he is still very manageable when out on walks but does need to be trained not to pull. He is house trained for the most part, but his adopters should be prepared for a few accidents at first while he adjusts to his new home. We haven't seen him with kids yet, but we think he would do very well with children who are old enough to handle being jumped up on by a small friendly dog. So far he has not been particularly interested in the toys we offer him, and prefers just to get attention and cuddles.
With a little bit of work and a lot of love Taz will make an awesome addition to the right home. Plus you'll have the cutest dog on the block!
