Daisy is quite shy and independent. She very slowly warms up to those she is familiar with, but is aloof most of the time. She will need an owner willing to put in time and effort to build a relationship with her and help her gain confidence.
We have been told by her former owners that Daisy has lived with children, and while she never caused problems, Daisy was quite stressed out by their lifestyle. Daisy has always been an only pet, but has socialized with other dogs and seems to like their company. She will do best in a quieter home.
The great news is Daisy does not seem to have any bad habits. She is very quiet, house trained, and is not destructive. She enjoys going on walks and does seem more confident when she's outside. Because Daisy has had no recall training, she cannot go off leash until her new owner has done lots of relationship building and obedience training.
With the right owner, we expect Daisy to blossom into a great dog and a very loyal companion.
