Leash Optional Parks in Esquimalt

Highrock Park

Where: The hill between Old Esquimalt Rd, Lampson St, and Rockheights Ave.
Details: You can enter by foot path from Cairn Road off Old Esquimalt Road, Highrock Place off Rockheights Avenue, or from Matheson Avenue off Rockheights Avenue. The park covers 7.1 hectares and offers great views.

Saxe Point Park

Where: At the end of Fraser Street
Details: The off-leash area is the portion west of Fraser Street from the park entrance to the maintenance building. There is a parking lot at the end of Fraser Street, and foot paths off Munro and Bewdley Streets.

Macaulay Point Park

Where: At the end of Clifton Terrace.
Details: The off-leash area is the southern section of the park, including the breakwater. There is a parking lot off Munro St, but the area surrounding the parking lot is not an off-leash area, so walk on-leash to the left until you see the sign that indicates the off-leash area.

Captain Jacobson Park

Where: Off Head St between Gore St and Paradise St
Details: A flat grassy area overlooking West Bay Marina.
